here Haiti - MUPANAH : Passingg of Miguel Thélusma

Jean-Claude Legagneur, Director General of the National Pantheon Museum of Haiti (MUPANAH) salutes the memory of Muguel Thélusma, a civil servant retired after 34 years of service, who died on Tuesday May 26, 2020 at the age of 76.

"Retired since 2017, Thélusma has been one of the main witnesses to the evolution of MUPANAH. He knew, in September 1972, the laying of the first stone announcing the construction of the building whose primary vocation was to serve as 'Mausoleum of the Fathers of the Fatherland'. He worked, on the site, alongside the architect Albert Mangonès, the engineer Alcindor and other Haitian and foreign workers.

Mr. Thelusma experienced the passage from the Mausoleum of the Fatherland to the Museum of the Haitian National Pantheon. He was an eyewitness to the transfer of the Remains and the entry into the Pantheon of the main Founding Fathers of the Haitian Nation.

[...] He was a loving and dedicated official. He was attached to the museum’s maintenance department and monitored the exhibition halls.

Before retiring, during the celebration of the museum's 34th anniversary in April 2017, the General Directorate of MUPANAH had given him a plaque of honor and Merit for his 34 years of good and loyal service at the Museum of the Haitian National Pantheon.

The institution will keep the memory of an exemplary official from Mr. Muguel Thélusma.

In this painful circumstance, the General Directorate of MUPANAH requests the family and relatives of Mr. Thélusma to believe in the expression of his deep regrets."
