On Tuesday, handguns were found in a 1985 Mack truck at the port of the National Port Authority (APN) in Miragoâne. It is a Smith & Wesson Caliber 9mm pistol, of American manufacture and a Caliber 9mm pistol, of Sarsilmaz brand of Turkish manufacture, as well as 4 empty magazines.

This truck was shipped by a man named Jean Louis Maxène.

The finding was made by the deputy judge of Miragoâne, Me. Methony Sauveur and his clerk Jean Pierrot Boncoeur, in the presence of Me Jean Ernest Muscadin Government Commissioner a.i. of Miragoâne.

After the finding, the weapons were handed over to the Departmental Service of the Judicial Police (SDPJ) and the truck was seized at the parking lot of the National Port Authority under the supervision of the AFN security agents.
