The Minister of Agriculture, Patrix Sévère, recently launched the rehabilitation and reinforcement works of the Tuff Training Center (CFT) located in the commune of La Vallée de Jacmel. It should be noted that this Center, which has existed for over 35 years, has been dysfunctional for almost 7 years and that this work will make it possible to increase the reception capacity and make the CFT more functional.

As a reminder, the CFT has so far comprised 5 buildings, including a training room, a refectory, a laboratory, a dormitory with a capacity of around 40 people.

"The Tuff Training Center is an emblematic center of the South-East department, because since its creation, it offers the possibility of processing agricultural products, especially fruits. In terms of training, research and experimentation, the CFT is a reference for the country," underlined the agronomist Sylvio Ridoré, Research manager of the Departmental agricultural department of the South-East,

Financed by Japan to the tune of 12 million gourdes, these rehabilitation works will last three months.
