The Ministry for the Status of Women and the Rights of Women (MCFDF) distributed masks in the 19 communes of the North department and made the population aware of the need to comply with the barrier instructions to protect themselves from the Covid-19 coronavirus.

This activity is part of the awareness campaign against Covid-19 and its impacts on gender inequalities launched by the MCFDF in the North department on July 7. This campaign is a response to the negligence of the population faced the Covid-19 pandemic which continues to spread throughout the national territory where 143 people have already died from Covid-19 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-31282-haiti-flash-strong-increase-in-suspect-cases-in-48-hours.html and thousands of others infected.
