Since the beginning of August, the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of People with Disabilities (BSEIPH) in partnership with the National Identification Office (ONI) have made it easier for people with disabilities to obtain a National Identification Card (CIN).

About a hundred people have already benefited from these services. This partnership between the two institutions is part of the implementation of article 12 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on the recognition of legal personality as well as article 29 of the Convention on the participation of persons with disabilities in political and public life.

The BSEIPH, through the departmental offices and partner institutions, will continue to take all measures to facilitate disabled people access to identification services throughout the territory.
