iciHaiti - Petit-Goâve : The construction of the Lycée Roseline Vaval completed at 75%
On August 28, Joseph Frantz Nicolas, Director General of the National Education Fund (FNE), visited the the construction site of the Lycée Roseline Vaval located in the commune of Vialet (Communal Section Première Plaine, Petit-Goâve, West Dept.). This site, whose work had been suspended for about 5 years, was taken over by the FNE and the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) at the end of 2019.

"If the country had not experienced the political disturbances of last year, added to the health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic this year, the keys to the Lycée would have already been handed over to the authorities of the National Education," underlined Joseph Frantz Nicolas.

Currently, according to Johnson Eugene, the engineer in charge of the work, the site is 75% advanced. At the moment, workers carrying out welding, electrical, tiling and carpentry work are busy on the site; adding that the layout of the play area and the fence of the building constitute the most important part of the work still to be done.

Note that the Lycée Roseline Vaval has 18 classrooms, a laboratory, a library and a play area. It will also house an amphitheater, an infirmary, a refectory as well as a residence for maintenance staff.

Note that other unfinished establishments were also taken in charge by the FNE, among other works for the construction of a high school located at "Petit trou de Nippes" and another located at "Débouchette" (South), according to what Nicolas indicated.
