iciHaiti - Road report : 21 accidents at least 59 victims
Garnel Michel Coordinator of the Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services for Accidents (STOP-Accidents), informs us that for the week of September 14 to 20, 2020, 21 accidents on the national territory (-19.2%) compared to the previous week https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-31806-icihaiti-road-report-26-accidents-at-least-48-victims.html made at least 59 victims (+ 22.9%): 8 dead (+ 266%) and 51 injured (+ 24.3%) including several seriously.

Canapé-vert, Aquin, rue Darguin (Pétion-ville), route 9, Grand-Pré (North - RN3), Bergeaud (Cayes), Savane Sorry, Laboule, Saint-Marc, Fontamara, Petit-Goâve among others, are the main communes and zones where these accidents were recorded.

Remember that this weekly report was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross. However, due to lack of resources STOP-Accident is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die as a result of their injuries and are not counted.

STOP-Accidents, reiterates its call for caution on our roads and urges the Government to strengthen preventive measures and to set up a systematic vehicle inspection service.
