iciHaiti - CIN : Reminding and threat from the Minister of Justice
Rockefeller Vincent, the Minister of Justice reminds the entire population that the services of the National Identification Office (ONI) relating to the preparation and delivery of the new biometric National Identification Card (CIN) are completely free throughout the country. He urges all those who are victims or witnesses of a request for any costs/fees by an agent of the ONI to lodge a complaint with the competent public prosecutor.

Minister Vincent, while instructing ONI officials to redouble their efforts to deliver the CIN as soon as possible, reminds any offender that any collection of money in exchange for this free service constitutes, with regard to the Article 5.1 of the law of March 12, 2014 on the prevention and repression of corruption, a crime of misappropriation which will be punished with the utmost rigor.
