The National Ambulance Center (CAN) has published data relating to its interventions during the month of October 2020.

This report reveals that CAN intervened in 4 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 6 suspected cases, 55 cases of respiratory distress, 167 chronic diseases, 508 obstetric emergencies, 101 transfers and 128 various diseases.

In addition, CAN intervened in 188 road accidents, 49 gunshot wounds, 53 stab wounds, 33 head injuries and 15 burns.

CAN points out that it was also involved in 40 cases of malaria fever (mainly in Grand'Anse) and 51 cases of abdominal pain for various causes, but with a predominance of cases of food poisoning.
