Tuesday, November 24, the Art Center learned the terrible news of the death of visual artist Sébastien Jean (40) following a fatal fall where he broke his neck, while he was on the rise with many projects on the calendar...

"The chimerical forms, the smoky colors, the rhythm of the compositions, the fleeting movement, the work of Sébastien Jean offers the choreography of his bruises, offers the choreography of our soft wounds. Sébastien Jean was a major player in contemporary art in Haiti. He is survived by his wife Loudine and his two boys.
