iciHaiti - Gonaïves : 5 young kidnappers arrested

Friday in the Pont-Gaudin neighborhood at the southern entrance to the city of Gonaïves, the Haitian National Police (PNH) arrested five young kidnappers, including three women and two men.

They are Jean James (24), Rosane Difficile (17), Aristilde Noëlda (18), Saul Toussaint and Manio Jean (23), accused of involvement in cases of kidnappings for ransom, in the City of Independence.

These arrests come less than a week after another police operation that led to the arrest of 4 other young individuals for their alleged involvement in kidnapping cases.

The Commissioner of the Government of Gonaïves, Me Serard Gasius, said that during the police operation other alleged kidnappers managed to flee towards the city of Cap-Haitien.
