iciHaiti - Obituary : Saxophonist Raoul Guillaume passed away
On Sunday November 29, the famous composer and saxophonist Raoul Guillaume died in Delmas 52, at the age of 93.

The one who was a revelation in 1941 within the Issa El Saied orchestra, author of musical works such as : Ma brune, Vive le foot and Yoyo, Complainte paysanne, Madan Brino to name a few, was the one of the greatest Haitian composers of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Raoul Guillaume was also a lyricist full of empathy and compassion for the most underprivileged, whom he portrayed movingly.

This is a great loss for the country and for Haitian music.

Rest in peace.
