iciHaiti - Politic : International Day of Persons with Disabilities
As part of the International Day of People with Disabilities celebrated this Thursday, December 3, 2020, the European Union wishes to underline throughout this week the rights of people with disabilities and more generally the importance of Human Rights in its cooperation policy with Haiti.
In order to raise awareness in society about people with disabilities, the European Union wanted to support an artistic project led by the Handicap and Culture program. This project is supported by Productions Théâtre toupatou who wished to mark the day of December 3 with a cultural event called EVEIL.
The aim is to promote the artistic ability of people with disabilities. Dance, poetic performance, storytelling and music and an exhibition will be presented during this symbolic day as well as the works of the artists. This original program which seeks to promote the meeting of disabled and non-disabled artists in the same space of creation and play will be held in the space of Yanvalou in Pacot.
