In a note dated December 27, ex-Senator Youri Latortue, leader of the opposition of "Ayiti an Aksyon" said that Cuban nationals working at the Latortue Farm, had been kidnapped and then released the previous week.

In addition, this note wishes to rectify any misinterpretation or manipulation of Youri Latortue's unequivocal statement on these acts and specifies "[...] unlike certain publications on social networks, they are not in any way Cuban doctors assigned to Gonaïves. In his statement, former Senator Latortue never mentioned these doctors."
