Following the request for support to the National Social Assistance Program "Kore Pèp" expressed by the Head of State to the Taiwanese authorities, Charles Ernest Chatelier, Director General of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), in presence of the Taiwanese Ambassador accredited to Haiti Wen-Jiann Ku, Jean Claude Barthélémy Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials of the institution among others, received Thursday, 1,000 metric tons of white rice valued at one million dollars Americans, gift of Taiwan (Republic of China) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32783-haiti-news-zapping.html
Subsequently Ernest Chatelier, Ambassador Wen-Jiann Ku, the Departmental Delegate of the West, Pierre Gary Bernadotte and executives of the institution, proceeded to a (symbolic) distribution of food kits (dry ration) at approximately 500 vulnerable people from Diègue in the town of Pétion Ville.
