On Friday 23 April 2021, the torrential rains that fell in the evening caused the collapse of a house in Ikondo, the first communal section of Grand-Goâve, causing 3 victims.

According to information obtained, the raging waters knocked down a wall which in turn caused a house to collapse.

The Communal Committee of Grand-Goâve informs that an 18-year-old girl and her 2-year-old baby were killed in this tragedy, while the 3rd victim, a 13-year-old girl was seriously injured.

The girl was transported to the Georges Govin hospital of Grand-Goâve.
