iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : The agro-gastronomic and craft fair attracts thousands of visitors
Several thousand residents, including schoolchildren, marched on the Boulevard du Cap-Haïtien on the occasion of the Agro-gastronomic and craft fair (April 29 to May 1st, 2021) during Agriculture and Labor Day.

Farmers, processors and fishermen have done their utmost to offer visitors a high quality Fair. The feast was good, the actors innovated by carrying out awareness-raising and promotional activities with the aim of making their activities more profitable and more resilient.

Departmental agricultural directorates, producer associations, project coordinators such as the Reinforcement of agricultural public services project, the Technological innovation program in agriculture and agroforestry and the artisanal fishing program of the Ministry of Agriculture have done everything to satisfy visitors.

This year, several important themes were developed during this Fair. In addition to exposure, certain groups and institutions took the opportunity to raise awareness of certain practices that are harmful to agriculture and the environment, particularly the marine environment. To this end, leaflets containing important information were distributed and discussions with visitors.

This Fair is also a showcase for financial institutions such as the National Agricultural Development Bank (BNDA) to present certain products and services offered.
