Bastien joined the Armed Forces of Haiti on February 12, 1975 as a lieutenant-doctor, he remained faithful to the military institution until his death. He went through all levels within this institution up to the rank of colonel, offering his services in particular in the field of the health and well-being of his companions. The death of Colonel Bastien is a great loss for the FAd'H. In this circumstance, Minister Dorneval on his behalf and on behalf of the Ministry "presents his most heartfelt sympathies to his family, including his wife Mme Poenie Percinthe Bastien and her children, to the members of the High Staff, to the members of the Forces Years. from Haiti in retirement, in the reserve and in active service, to his comrades of promotion, as well as to his friends affected by this disappearance."
