Haiti - DR : Luis Abinader closes the border with Haiti and convenes the military commanders

Dominican President Luis Abinader urgently convened his main military commanders and ordered the border to be closed due to the assassination of the President of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34162-haiti-flash-president-jovenel-moise-assassinated-by-mercenaries-official-updated-7am-+-video.html on the night from July 6 to 7, 2021 by an armed commando which entered in his residence in the middle of an intense shooting, in action, his wife Martine Moïse, whose state of health was still not clear, was seriously injured.
The military commanders will meet with the Dominican President to decide on the course of action faced the situation generated by the assassination in Haiti and the consequences that this could have for the Dominican Republic.
President Luis Abinader has ordered the urgent strengthening of military surveillance and security actions on the border line.
