Louis Gonzague Edner Day, the Minister ai of the Interior and Territorial Communities, learned with emotion the death of Jean Claude Bontemps, Departmental Delegate of Grand-Anse, who died on the evening of Saturday July 10, 2021 in a hospital in Jérémie, where he had been admitted for complications related to a deterioration in his state of health, which was already worrying.

In this painful circumstance, Minister Day, along with his Director General, Amos Zéphirin, to express on their own behalf and that of the ministry, their sincere condolences to the family of the late Jean Claude Bontemps, to the whole the Departmental Delegates and Vice-Delegates of the arrondissements and all their solidarity with their immediate collaborators at the level of the Bureau of the Departmental Delegation and with their relatives and friends,

Appointed Departmental Delegate by presidential decree published on September 25, 2019, Jean Claude Bontemps was very socially and politically engaged in his department. Founding member of "Kowòdinasyon Rezistans Grandans" (KOREGA). Very involved in his functions as representative of the Executive, he had known how to put all his experience, his know-how and his charisma at the service of his department and the whole country, while Haiti is going through a long and difficult crisis.
