iciHaiti - Humanitarian : 70 tons of medical aid from «FedEx Care»

Thursday, August 26, 2021, teams from the FedEx center in Memphis (Tennessee, USA) loaded 70 tonnes of medical supplies onto a FedEx plane to bring relief to Haiti. Flight #9736 took off at 8:23 a.m. bound for Haiti and arrived at 12:42 p.m. at Port-au-Prince International Airport.

The shipment includes drugs (prescription), I-V solutions, emergency health backpacks and other essential medical supplies and is worth more than $8 million.

This relief response is part of the "Delivering for Good" initiative of "FedEx Cares" which helps organizations in the event of a disaster.

Richard Smith, executive vice president of FedEx, called the program the difference between life and death for some people. "We see it as part of our moral obligations and use our network to help."
