iciHaiti - Earthquake : More than 1 million m3 of drinking water produced by France
The Ambassador of France in Haiti, José Gomez went this week to Cavaillon (South Dept.) to visit the water purification station installed after the earthquake of August 14 by a detachment of French firefighters.

This station has already produced more than one million m3 of drinking water since its installation. The treated water is distributed to populations throughout the southern department by tankers.

This mission was also an opportunity for Ambassador Gomez to meet in Les Cayes the members of the European Civil Protection Mechanism which coordinates under the direction of the Haitian authorities European aid to the victims of the August 14 earthquake https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34681-haiti-earthquake-latest-assessment-of-civil-protection.html

During his visit, the Ambassador noted that the French firefighters maintained excellent relations with the Haitian Civil Protection, the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) and the beneficiary populations.
