Jean Emmanuel Jacquet, the Minister of Culture, accompanied by his General Director Camy Depas, went this week to the National Institute of Music of Haiti (INAMUH), (launched in June 2012 under the Martelly-Lamothe regime https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-5887-haiti-culture-official-launch-of-the-national-institute-of-music-of-haiti.html) to inquire about the initiatives taken by the institution as part of its mission and discuss with technicians on various projets to explore.

Minister Jacquet underlined the need for the institution to perpetuate its programs, to continue to support other music schools registered in the same vein as INAMUH, to be more visible and to strengthen itself while opening up to visionary international cooperation.

It should be remembered that one of the objectives of INAMUH is to offer young people from disadvantaged backgrounds music training likely to guarantee them a job. The Institute is also committed to teaching young people, in particular the virtues of citizenship, patriotism, non-violence, effort and team spirit...
