iciHaiti - Tourism : Signature of an agreement between the UEH and the Ministry of Tourism
As part of the World Tourism Day, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed this week between the Ministry of Tourism and the State University of Haiti (UEH) for the realization of training, research and of services in the field of Tourism and Heritage.

The commitment of the UEH consists in supporting the Ministry of Tourism, in its effort to create the conditions favorable to the full exploitation of our potentials and to the promotion of the many business opportunities existing in this sector, which presents both growth levers and also interesting alternative sources of income for the populations of most regions of the country.

The implementation of this MoU will allow the involvement of UEH entities, in particular the Higher Institute of Studies and Research in Social Sciences (ISERSS) in the activities of identification, protection and of promotion of the tourist and cultural heritage on the national territory. These activities will be developed in synergy with the central and regional services of the Ministry with the participation of the communities and local authorities to raise the awareness of the populations of the sites concerned with respect to and the conservation and enhancement of the heritage.
