List of OICs, budget and summary of projects :

One million dollars has been reserved for a call for humanitarian projects aimed at OICs with humanitarian expertise in Haiti, in collaboration with local organizations. Here are the OCIs selected and a summary of the projects they will pilot in the three departments affected by the earthquake (South, Grand'Anse and Nippes):

• $ 199,650 : Center for International Studies and Cooperation

  Strengthening access to water, temporary shelters and emergency kits, also including an agricultural revival component.

• 100,000 dollars : - International Health Collaboration

  Sending health equipment from surpluses from the Quebec health network.

• 250,000 dollars : Development and Peace

  Logistical support to local emergency operation centers and support to families with food, water and temporary accommodation.

• 200,000 dollars : Oxfam-Quebec

  Distribution of emergency shelters adapted to the climatic conditions as well as hygiene kits that meet the specific needs of women and girls.

• 62,350 dollars : Solidarité Union Coopération

  Reconstruction of infrastructure allowing the storage and processing of crops.

• 188,000 dollars

  Psychosocial support, mobile medical clinics and reconstruction of key structures.

[...] By combining their expertise, these six Quebec organizations, which work in close partnership with organizations based in Haiti and in collaboration with local authorities, will be able to meet basic needs and contribute to the reconstruction of the country," declared Nadine Girault.
