iciHaiti - UN : The African Council convenes the Security Council on the situation in Haiti
Friday October 15 at 3:00 p.m., Carla Barnett, Secretary General of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), will address the United Nations Security Council convened by the three non-permanent members of the African Council plus Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to discuss the current situation in Haiti.

"This particular session will be chaired by Saint Vincent and the Grenadines [...] this is the first time that there has been a discussion in the Security Council on Haiti led by countries other than the United States, France, Canada or Great Britain" declared the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves adding "We are trying to define a framework for a real stability and a sustainable development of Haiti, but of course it is the Haitian people who will determine that" adding that Prime Minister Ariel Henry as well as other NGO representatives have been invited to participate in this session.
