iciHaiti - Fuel : The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the North dismayed
Steve A. Mathieu, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the North says he is "dismayed" by the diversion of fuel for illicit sale by certain actors who are responsible for making it available to consumers.

"This Machiavellian maneuver does no credit to the courageous traders of the Great North, nor to anyone. It suffocates the regional economy and reduces the purchasing power of households.

The CCIN would like to thank the conscientious owners and managers of gas stations, who made big efforts to serve consumers.

The CCIN encourages regional authorities, in general, the Northern Delegation, the Town Hall, and the regional office of the Ministry of Trade and Creative Industries, to take their responsibilities and do everything that is legal to :

- Dissuade the thugs from ceasing their dishonest activities
- Support operators who have received fuel in distribution
- Inform the population of the availability of gasoline in the pumps on a daily basis."
