At the beginning of the week, during an operation carried out by the Police in Canaan 3, two bandits were mortally wounded during an exchange of fire with the police.

Julien alias "Tiboss" who succumbed to his injuries was a terrifying bandit specializing in rape and armed robbery according to testimonies collected from several victims. While the other individual by the name of "Bèl chèf", was one of the right arms of the gang leader "Zian" operating in Canaan (commune of Croix-des-Bouquets). Several firearms were seized following this police intervention.

At the same time, a patrol from the Departmental Unit for Maintaining Order (UDMO Ouest II) proceeded to the Bon Repos Patient Market, to arrest Alexis Ansy (35), alias "Love", who was ransoming merchants and accused of theft and criminal association.
