Tuesday June 7, 2022, as part of the 2nd Edition of the 2022 League of Nations of the Confederation of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), our Grenadiers trained by Jean Jacques Pierre after a first draw [0-0] against the "Gombey Warriors" of Bermuda https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-36834-haiti-league-of-nations-2022-haiti-bermuda-[0-0]-video.html , our Grenadiers faced on the lawn of the Olympic Stadium Felix Sanchez of Santo Domingo, the "Emerald Boys" of Montserrat for their 2nd group match.

A match where we expected that the Grenadiers would have regained their cohesion and would have recovered against a team within their reach, which was not the case despite the changes in the starting lineup brought by the Haitian coach Jean Jacques Pierre...

It was in a lackluster match that our Grenadiers managed to score 3 goals in the first period (Mondy Prunier 5' Antoine Carnejy 9', Steeven Saba 25') without being able to prevent the "Emerald Boys" from reducing the gap by scoring 2 goals against Haiti (Strawbridge-Simon 20' and Lyle Taylor 90+2 from the penalty spot).

Our Grenadiers will face in their next match the "Golden Jaguars" of Guyana for the conquest of the first place in Group B.

Should be noted that the return matches against Bermuda and Montserrat will take place in Santo-Domingo at the Felix Sanchez Olympic Stadium, respectively on March 28, 2023 and March 25, 2023

Let's remember that at the end of these 6 matches, the team that will finish at the top of its Group will do a double blow by reaching the first division of the league (League A) and also by qualifying for the Gold Cup 2023.
