iciHaiti - 9th Summit of the Americas : Meeting between the PM and the Dominican President Abinader
Thursday, June 9, 2022, on the sidelines of the 9th Summit of the Americas being held in Los Angeles (June 6-10), Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry held a bilateral meeting with Dominican President Luis Abinader.

On the agenda of the two leaders security, migration, the regularization of Haitian workers, the renewal of the mandate of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) and the strengthening of port and customs management...

President Abinader announced that his country was ready to provide technical assistance to the Haitian Government in the areas of training, technology and intelligence.

Premier Henry agreed to regularize the situation of Haitian immigrants and workers in the Dominican Republic, by providing them with identification documents, and by revitalizing the Haitian-Dominican Joint Commission.

The two men also agreed on the renewal and strengthening of the Binuh mandate, with regard to justice and security.
