Friday, June 24, 2022, Frantz Elbé, the Acting Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) visited police officers who was wounded by bullets in operations against gangs across the metropolitan area of ​​Port-au-Prince and surroundings.

Accompanied by the Divisional Commissioner Étienne Jean Maurest, Director of Staff, PNH doctors and representatives of the Medico-Social Service, Frantz Elbé wanted to inquire about the evolution of the state of health of at least 5 police officers victims in the performance of their duties, who are in the process of receiving care in a hospital center in the capital.

While saluting the bravery of these agents in the fight against organized crime, Elbé sent them words of comfort, while reassuring them that the police institution will continue to provide support and assistance throughout the period of their recovery. He wished them a speedy recovery.

In addition, Commander Elbé took the opportunity to also visit the mother of a police officer assigned to the Intervention and Maintenance of the Order (CIMO) corps who receives treatment in the same hospital.

It should be noted that the visit of DG Frantz Elbé is part of his approach aimed at providing better supervision to police staff.
