iciHaiti - Cuba : 250 Haitian boat people rescued

Monday evening, June 27, an overloaded boat from Haiti bound for the United States, carrying nearly 250 Haitians in an irregular migratory situation (including pregnant women and children) ran aground on the coast of Caibarién , in Cayo Francés, a village in the province of Villa Clara.
On Tuesday, all our compatriots received humanitarian aid and medical assistance from the authorities of the Province, indicated Miguel Angel Fernandez Lopez, Provincial Director of the Red Cross. They are housed in a temporary center during the steps of the migration services for their repatriation to Haiti,
