iciHaiti - Bahamas : Follow-up of the file of the 17 deceased victims of the shipwreck

Following the sinking on the night of Sunday July 24, 2022 of a boat off New Providence in the Bahamas archipelago hhttps://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37242-haiti-shipwreck-in-the-bahamas-investigation-details-and-reactions.html where 17 Haitian nationals lost their lives, the Government of the Bahamas has just granted two weeks to the families to recover the bodies of the victims.
According to the daily "The Nassau Guarduan", the victims who have been identified will be entrusted to their families. Those whose identities are not yet known will be handed over to the Haitian Government.
Among the dead bodies recovered during the sinking, only 6 of them have been officially identified according to the Bahamian authorities. Among the victims, there are two (2) little girls, one of whom is one year old and the other thirteen (13) years old. In addition, a pregnant woman was among those drowned.
