The hurricane season has caused torrential rains in recent weeks with precipitation that can cause flooding, particularly in the West department. The Departmental Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works, on a preventive basis, is busy carrying out various infrastructure development works across several municipalities in the department.

Thus, the interventions related to the realization of the work of recalibration of the bed of the river La Digue, located on the National #2 in the commune of Petit-Goâve, above which is the bridge La Digue connecting the West and the Great South.

This work is part of the register of preventive operations of the West Departmental Directorate (DDO) in order to protect the populations against any possible risk in the event of an ouaran hitting the country.
