Sunday, September 25 at the end of a chase between a patrol from the Port-au-Prince police station and three vehicles aboard which were heavily armed men who had just kidnapped 3 employees of the Ministry of National Education, 2 kidnappers were mortally wounded in exchanges of fire with PNH agents at the Champs-de-Mars.

An accomplice named Tune Davidson has been arrested. An AK-47 assault rifle and a white Toyota (Zo Rezen) vehicle were seized.

The other two vehicles involved in the kidnapping unfortunately managed to get away with the 3 hostages.

Despite the difficult context marked by disturbances to public order, in particular the blocking of several roads and scenes of looting requiring police intervention all day long, the security forces continue at the same time to fight relentlessly against the phenomenon of kidnapping, one of the main sources of concern for the population.
