Thursday, September 29, 2022, Jatzel Román, Deputy Minister of the Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), appealed to Dominicans who are in Haiti to leave this territory as soon as possible, recalling that the physical integrity of any Dominican citizen in Haiti cannot be guaranteed

The Minister clarified that the Government provides all the facilities for all nationals who want to return to the Dominican Republic.

"Those who need any type of information to leave Haiti, who need any type of support to leave this country, can contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the directorate for the protection of nationals," said Roman recalling that "The Dominican Republic has long warned Dominican citizens to refrain from traveling to Haiti, except for vital and fundamental reasons."
