iciHaiti - Taiwan : Donation of 8,800 metric tons of rice

Tuesday, January 17, 2023, due to food insecurity which has reached a historic level in Haiti, Wen Jiann Ku the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) signed an agreement for the donation and distribution of 8,800 tons of rice with Mario Nicoleau the Executive Director of the charity organization "Food For The Poor" (FFTP - Haiti), while implementing other structuring government programs to increase agricultural production in the medium and long term.
This donation will allow FFTP to continue to work alongside the most vulnerable and meet growing food needs. According to Mario Nicoleau: 796 schools, 180 orphanages, 783 parishes and missions, 257 community organizations, 161 community houses, nuns, 293 hospitals, health centers, prisons and asylums for the elderly in addition to organizations that receive occasional support; that is nearly 3 million people.
