Former Haitian-Canadian Minister Nadine Girault died Monday morning at the age of 63 following lung cancer.

"The death of Mrs. Nadine Girault, who has always claimed her Haitian origin with pride, will leave a void in the Haitian-Canadian community," writes the Embassy of Haiti in Canada, which "salutes her departure and sends its condolences to his family and loved ones."

Career administrator Nadine Girault has been Deputy for the County of Bertrand since 2018, Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie, Minister responsible for the Laurentians region.

Nadine Girault co-chaired the work of the Anti-Racism Action Group. She was Minister of Immigration, Francisation and Integration [2020 - 2021].

Holder of a bachelor's degree in business administration, specializing in finance, she also has training as a certified company director. A seasoned manager, Nadine Girault has held central positions in major Quebec institutions.
