iciHaiti - Diaspora Canada : Tribute from the Embassy of Haiti to Eddy Cavé
The Embassy of Haiti in Canada again this year pays tribute to those who, because of their respective backgrounds and the contribution they have made to the advancement of Haitian communities in the various provinces of Canada, while projecting a positive image of Haiti received the 2022 distinction from the Embassy.

Tribute to Eddy Cavé :
Born in Jérémie, Mr. Eddy Cavé is a former bank executive and jurilinguist who has dedicated himself for fifteen years to writing, professional training and community action. He holds a law degree and a graduate degree in international affairs from the State University of Haiti. He also holds a graduate degree in international cooperation from the University of Ottawa.

After beginning a career at the National Bank of the Republic of Haiti, Eddy Cavé emigrated to Canada in 1970 where he headed the Translation Service and the French Publications section of the Bank of Canada in Ottawa.

Eddy Cavé has brought together his memories of his hometown in a two-volume work, "De mémoire de Jérémien". His most recent book, "Haïti : Extermination des Pères fondateurs et Pratiques d’exclusion", is an important contribution to understanding our history.
