iciHaiti - Agriculture : Fruitful meeting between WFP and the Minister of Agriculture
Martin Bauer, the Country Director of the World Food Program (WFP) met last week with Brédy Charlot, the Minister of Agriculture. He recalled the different fields of action of the WFP and presented other avenues of collaboration as part of its adaptation to the challenges and needs of the agricultural sector, taking into account the priorities expressed by the Ministry.

The two men reviewed the actions already carried out within the framework of the existing partnership and undertook to improve the framework of this relationship in order to address the problem of food insecurity and the fight against it even more effectively. hunger.

The two leaders agreed on the points on which the two institutions will work together with the aim of revitalizing cooperation.

The Ministry will have the opportunity during a workshop organized by the WFP, relating to the development of the five-year plan of the institution for the period 2024-2029 to continue the exchanges and to express its priorities.

This fruitful meeting bodes well for more effective cooperation and good prospects for the future of the agricultural sector in Haiti, according to Minister Charlot.
