The Board of Directors of UNIBANK and its subsidiaries within the National Financial Group (GFN) informs in a note that the FBI, the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the Treasury Department of the United States (OFAC) are currently carrying out three cross-investigations on Edouard Baussan,

"To this end, UNIBANK is forced to cooperate by sharing as much information as it has on the assets of the person concerned."

UNIBANK recalls "[...] since November 3rd, 2022 Edouard Baussan resigned from his position as Vice-Chairman of the Board and appropriate arrangements had been made to relieve the person concerned of all administrative activities relating to UNIBANK.

Consequently, all UNIBANK and GFN employees are asked to remain calm because the conclusions of the investigations will only engage the personal responsibility of Mr. Baussan and will obviously have no real institutional impact."
