iciHaiti - Gang war : More than 10,000 people fled their neighborhood
The latest waves of violence recorded in the neighborhoods of Delmas 24, Solino, Bel-Air and Delmas 2, caused the displacement of 3,647 people (1,064 households) who found refuge in 6 sites and 27 host communities located in the neighborhoods of Fort National, Poste Marchand and Christ-Roi.

Same scenario in the departments of Artibonite and Center, following the armed attacks more than 8,000 people moved between September 2022 and the end of February 2023.

Hosting sites are also not secure and are vulnerable to intrusion. For example, in Camp Zamor, one of the sites hosting the largest number of displaced people in PAP (6,528 IDPs), a fire caused by a stray bullet deprived 371 families of temporary shelter on March 1.

IOM continues to help these inhabitants by distributing food kits, hygiene and mattresses to 1,236 people identified as the most vulnerable. About 400 other beneficiaries received medical care and were supported by psychosocial activities
