From March 1st to 15, 2023, two experts from the elite French unit "Research, Assistance, Intervention, Dissuasion" (RAID) provided training for the benefit of 35 agents newly assigned to the Brigade d'Intervention et de Recherches (BRI) of the National Police of Haiti (PNH).

The agents of the BRI, engaged in the fight against gangs, took part in this course which made it possible to provide the bases of intervention of the anti-gang units.

During this training, many training sessions were carried out in various contexts such as : urban guerrilla warfare, arrests in closed environments and on public roads, interventions with armored vehicles, etc...

This training was funded by the Department of Cooperation and Cultural Action of the Embassy of France in Haiti.

At the end of the course, the Central Director of the Judicial Police expressed his complete satisfaction for this training intended to increase the effectiveness of the BRI against gangs that terrorize the population.
