iciHaiti - Fire : The Consulate of Santiago to the aid of fifty Haitian families affected

Following the accidental fire in the Cofresí sector, in the western part of San Felipe de Puerto Plata, which reduced to ashes on March 11 of ten houses with approximately 70 "rooms" which served as pensions for Haitian workers, the Consulate General of Haiti in Santiago in the Dominican Republic through its community department came to the aid of families with food kits, drinking water and other immediate needs.
A second stage of this community process ended this Wednesday, March 22, 2023 with the deployment of a delegation from the Consulate General and the distribution of the first necessary assistance to around 50 affected families who were able to receive food kits and clothing items... Special assistance was given to pregnant women and children.
In addition, as soon as possible, another team from the Consulate will go to the same locality to provide documentation services to these compatriots who lost everything during this fire.
