Sunday March 26 at the Champs-de-Mars, as part of the investigation into the assassination of Marie Gauthier Francklin and the kidnapping of her husband Jean Fancklin, both Haitian-American citizens, Kenol Capitaine alias "Kato" member of the "Kraze Baryè" gang, was arrested on leaving the city of Les Cayes, by agents of the Criminal Affairs Office (BAC) of the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ) during an operation supported by the Intervention and Research Brigade (BRI).

Following this act perpetrated at the victims' home, in Tabarre 68, on Friday October 7, 2022, by the "Kraze Baryè" gang led by Vitelhomme Innocent, Kenol Capitaine took refuge in Les Cayes (South Dept.)

Kenol Capitaine, the main perpetrator of this crime, was denounced by David Joseph, alias "Ti Blanc" also a member of the "Kraze Baryè" gang who had been arrested by the National Police of Haiti (PNH), on February 27, 2023, in Torcelel, as part of Operation Tornade-1.
