On Wednesday March 29, 2023, the Divisional Commissioner Daniel Compère, Departmental Director of the South Police and the Chief of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the jurisdiction Me Ronald Richemond, carried out a supervision tour in the streets of Les Cayes.

Accompanied by police officers of all ranks and grade, the Divisional Commissioner Compère testified the will of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) to strengthen its presence in the South region in order to be closer to the population, while fighting against any armed individual who disturbs public order.

He invited the population to join the PNH in the battle against organized crime in all its forms.

Let's recall that in the city of Les Cayes on March 23 and 26, two businessmen were killed by unidentified armed individuals, respectively Murat Tarthe and Lony Trantius.
