iciHaiti - Culture : Creation of a new cultural space in Port-au-Prince

The French Development Agency (AFD) and the Knowledge and Freedom Foundation (FOKAL) have launched the creation of a new cultural space in Port-au-Prince "la Fabrique des arts".

"La Fabrique des arts" is one of the three components of the Tanbou project, which will be implemented by the French Institute in Paris and a consortium of Haitian civil society organizations: the FOKAL (Lead partner), the Art Center and the 'Association Quatre Chemins'. The purpose of the project is to support the structuring of the cultural and creative industries sector in Haiti.

"Tanbou" will allow cultural actors and actresses to have a new place for rehearsal, representation and networking.

Thanks to training programs abroad and within the "Fabrique des arts", the technical capacities of more than 100 professionals and cultural operators will also be strengthened.
