iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : CONATEL closes 5 radio stations
Following complaints made by the National Civil Aviation Office (OFNAC) relating to interference with air-ground aeronautical communications in the North, the General Directorate of the Executive Body of the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) has sent a team of technicians to Cap-Haitien.

The tests carried out revealed that the 5 radio stations transmitting on the following frequencies were the source of this interference:

Station 1
92.5MHz
Station 2
101.9MHz
Station 3
103.3MHz
Station 4
104.3MHz
Station 5
107.9MHz

Under Articles 137 and 139 of the Decree of October 12, 1977, the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) has decided to suspend until further notice, 4 of the 5 radio stations broadcasting in the North department, for interference with air frequencies, until the operators of these stations make the necessary corrections to their equipment.

As for station 5 transmitting on 107.9 MHz, its equipment was seized definitively, because this radio was operating without any authorization from the State.
