The National Ambulance Center (CAN), sent us its summary statistical report, of the pre-hospital management of the various emergency cases carried out by the Center during the month of April 2023.

Of the 702 cases handled by the CAN in April 2023 (-3.9% compared to the previous month), 37 were transfers, 16% obstetric emergencies, 14% miscellaneous conditions...

Types of interventions:
19 suspected cholera cases;
8 confirmed cholera cases;
46 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);
23 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);
113 obstetric emergencies;
69 Public Road Accidents;
258 transfers (references & laboratory tests);
30 traumas (injuries & fractures of varying degrees);
7 bullet wounds;
25 stab wounds;
6 burns
98 various conditions (malaise, diarrhoea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.).

Of the 702 cases handled by the CAN: 438 interventions took place in the West, 93 in the Artibonite, 23 in the North / North-East, 13 in the South-East, 98 in the North-West, 25 in the South, 11 in Nippes and 1 in Grand'Anse.
