Under the high patronage of the Embassy of Haiti in France, the "Association Haïti pour l'Avenir" (AHPA) honored in Paris during a tribute evening called "Haitian Legends Awards" 10 Haitian personalities evolving mainly in the artistic and media circles.

One of the deans of Haitian music and father of the much-missed MIKABEN, Lionel BENJAMIN, is among the talented artists honored at this event.

In addition to this icon, the other distinguished personalities during this evening are:

Jean Bélony MURAT (Bélo), Misterline JEAN (Misty Jean), Cornélia SCHUIT (Ti Corn), Lunise MORSE, Robert PHILOMÉ, Jean Andy PIERRE, Queen Georgie, Vaugly BEAUGE (Ti James). Mrs. Odette Roy Fombrun author of numerous school and extracurricular books on history, geography, morals and feminist activist who died in December 2022 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-38442-haiti-flash-odette-roy-fombrun-left-us-at-the-age-of-105-reactions.html was honored posthumously.

In his speech for the occasion Jean Josué Pierre Dahomey, Ambassador of Haiti to France, praised the great qualities of these compatriots. He encouraged Haitian youth to take as an example their rigour, their perseverance and their efforts in the search for excellence.
